 Placing of the Flags

We would like to thank all the boy scouts, girl scouts, members from the VFW post 1409 Auxiliary and the ever faithful group led by Scott Fredrick from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that came out to aid in the placing of over 4800 flags for veterans laid to rest in the Monongahela Cemetery.  This activity is central to the Mon Valley area for remembering and honoring those who have served, sacrificed and rest in the Monongahela Cemetery.
